05 · Questions

Before you ask

How is a collagen tripeptide different from a fish collagen peptide?

A collagen peptide is a general hydrolysate described by its average molecular weight, usually without a guaranteed tripeptide content. A collagen tripeptide is hydrolysed further to the three-amino-acid unit Gly-X-Y and standardised, here to at least 15% or 25% of the powder. The manufacturer's recommended intake is 1 g/day (15% grade) or 0.8 g/day (25% grade), which fits capsules, sticks and shots.

What is the source of the collagen and is it an allergen?

The collagen comes from the skin of farm-raised fish and is processed in Japan. Fish is a declared allergen; the finished product label should state that it contains fish.

Which grade should I choose, 15% or 25%?

Choose by format, serving size, positioning and cost per serving. The manufacturer's recommended intake is 1 g/day for the 15% grade and 0.8 g/day for the 25% grade. Both come with the same documents and a lot CoA, and we can send both specifications for comparison.

What documents and terms come with an order?

Specification, a certificate of analysis for the lot and a safety data sheet. Standard terms are EXW Japan with 100% prepayment by SWIFT or Stripe, shipped by courier or your forwarder. For the USA we can quote door-to-door delivery on request.

What is the minimum order and can I test it first?

Evaluation samples are available for registered businesses, with the specification and a recent lot CoA. First orders start from 1 kg; the standard pack is a 10 kg bag. Price depends on grade, quantity and destination, so we quote for your volume.
